The finely ground Chisel is slightly tapered from the tips by 0.1mm to allow for easy removal from the Mortice.
A deep waste slot prevents waste material becoming jammed around the auger.
The auger bit has one spiral flute designed for rapid chip clearance up and out of the single exit slot within one face of the chisel.
